A removal plan that fits your tub and your property

An unused hot tub can take up the best part of a patio or backyard. Getting it out takes more planning than picking up a loose piece of furniture: the size, surrounding structures and route to the truck all matter. Home Run Junk Removal reviews those details with you before work begins. Show us what needs to go and what needs to stay, and we will explain the proposed removal method and price at your free on-site estimate.

Freestanding hot tubs

Tell us the approximate dimensions and whether the tub sits on a patio, slab or deck. We assess its condition and access before confirming the removal plan.

Dismantling when needed

A tub may need to be taken apart to pass through the available exit. We review the work on site and include the agreed dismantling and debris hauling in the quote.

Covers, steps and nearby clutter

Include unwanted covers, removable steps or other patio items in your photos. Point out anything you are keeping so the estimate clearly identifies what will be removed.

Built-in tubs and difficult access

Send photos of recessed tubs, deck surrounds, narrow gates or enclosed patios before scheduling. Built-in spas and swim spas require individual review; acceptance depends on the scope and access.

This service covers removal of an unwanted tub after the required preparation. Electrical and plumbing disconnection, structural demolition, deck repairs and installing a replacement tub are outside the removal scope.

Before your estimate

Help us plan your hot tub removal

  1. Send photos of the whole tub, its surroundings and the route to the truck. Include gate widths, steps and any screened enclosure or deck around it.
  2. Have the tub drained and any required electrical or plumbing disconnections completed by the appropriate qualified professional before removal. Our team does not perform utility disconnections.
  3. Identify what must remain, including deck boards, screens, landscaping and patio furniture. Tell us about access restrictions and any property-management requirements.

Text photos with your pickup address and preferred timing. Photos help with a ballpark; we confirm the work and final price on site before you decide.

Upfront pricing

What affects the cost?

Hot tub removal pricing depends on the tub’s size, the amount of dismantling needed, the carrying distance and obstacles such as stairs or narrow gates. A freestanding tub beside a driveway presents a different job from one recessed into a deck. Photos help us discuss a ballpark estimate; the on-site review confirms the scope and final price before work starts. Mention additional items upfront so they can be included in the same estimate.

Your agreed quote includes the specified labor, loading, transportation and disposal. The on-site estimate is free and carries no obligation.

Before you book

Hot tub removal questions

Do I need to drain and disconnect the hot tub first?

Yes. The tub needs to be drained and the necessary utility disconnections completed before removal. Arrange electrical or plumbing work with the appropriate qualified professional. Tell us about the current setup when requesting your estimate so we can discuss the preparation needed.

Can you remove a hot tub through a narrow gate?

Possibly. Send photos and the gate width, along with any stairs, tight turns or enclosure along the exit route. We assess whether dismantling provides a suitable removal method before accepting the job. We cannot confirm access from a photo of the tub alone.

Does the estimate include taking the tub apart and hauling it away?

Your estimate specifies the approved dismantling, loading, transportation and disposal. We explain the boundaries of the work before you approve the price. Removal of surrounding structures, utility disconnection and repairs are not automatically included.
